You deserve respect and advancement.

You have what it takes to succeed

You’ve studied and earned this. Now you need strategies to get through to where you want to go.

None of us would be where we are today if it weren’t for the women before us: fighting for our rights, blazing trails, breaking ceilings, upsetting the status quo. As much as we hope things have improved for women in the workplace, there are still challenges ahead.

Over my career, I’ve developed techniques for handling the tactics we face. And I want to share this knowledge with as many women as possible.

Looking back over my 30-plus year career, and talking with other women about their experiences, I’ve learned strategies that can help other women succeed in spite of the obstacles they will face in the workplace.

I grew up as the only girl with five brothers, learning early on how to hold my own in male-dominated environments. I was taught that girls and women could do whatever we set our minds to, as long as we are willing and strong enough to take on all opposition. In this spirit, I dove into school work, ultimately earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in the very male-dominated field of Electrical Engineering at Virginia Tech and George Washington Univ.

In the workplace, I discovered the large and small barriers women have to hurdle, especially as an engineer. I played the game, fought back, and more importantly changed the game as needed to keep moving forward in my career – while raising two children as a single mother.

After over a dozen years in engineering, I made the move to technical sales, and currently lead the East Coast Sales organization for a Silicon-Valley-based software company.

I’m passionate about helping women find success at work. I believe that with a little guidance and support and a lot of commitment, women can achieve everything they desire.

I live in Ashburn, Virginia and enjoy singing jazz, modern choral music, swing dancing, writing, and spending time with my family.

I admire how women have risen up against the barriers placed before us, and with savvy or grace or just calling “bullshit”, we prevail.
